BreAnn VanDeer (‘09) was named the Iowa Conference Female Athlete of the Week after dominant performances against the University of Dubuque and Buena Vista University.

VanDeer pitched two complete game wins during the week.

She threw a four-hit shutout against Dubuque April 9, striking out 12 while allowing only four hits.

Against Buena Vista on April 13, she picked up a save in game one, then allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts in the second game. She raised her record to 7-2 overall.
